About Quality Implementation Committee
What is the Quality Implementation Committee?
The Quality Implementation Committee works to implement the different quality programmes and systems that are used in WALK With You. The committee reviews progress that has been made areas and gathers information and makes plans for progress in other areas. The committee also discuss best practice in certain areas and sees how this best practice can be rolled out across WALK With You services.
How often does it meets?
The Quality Measures Implementation Committee meets every 2 months. There is a special Subcommittee on PQASSO that meets every month also.
Who sits on the Quality Measures Implementation Committee?
Only internal people sit on the quality measures implementation committee. There are both service users and staff represented on the committee.

The terms of reference of this committee is as follows;
- Identify supports required by the staff team to carry out actions identified in the Quality Improvement Plan and review when appropriate.
- Complete self assessments as deemed necessary by Quality department.
- Identify training and supports required.
- All committee members to feedback information to staff teams,
- The quality enhancement plan will inform this committee of its objectives.
- This committee may feed information to other committees within the association as deemed necessary like the behaviour support committee and the human rights committee.
- The committee will review poms data and make recommendations or suggestions for improvement.
- The committee will inform policy review committee where necessary
- Make recommendations to the senior management team regarding quality improvement within the organisation and accept recommendations from the senior management team to review areas of service delivery for the enhancement of or introduction of new systems.
- Publish minutes of meetings
- The committee will proactively seek to review the systems related to quality enhancement including, basic assurances system, personal outcomes planning systems, rights protection and promotion systems and systems designed to keep people safe, healthy and secure.
- Additional activities may be identified as the organisation moves forward with its quality improvement efforts, the committee will be flexible enough to take on board additional responsibilities and where necessary will broaden it’s membership to facilitate this.
- The committee will also reactively review work on referrals which come from a variety of sources including, rights restrictions, and personal approached from staff and service users who have specific concerns relating to practices which exist, or indeed do not exist but which should.
