Training

WALK Rehabilitative Training (RT) programme is designed to offer people with an intellectual disability the opportunity to develop skills which empower them to lead more self directed lives. It does this by offering training that:

 Encourages Personal Development.

Is individually tailored to meet the needs of each person

Develops independent living skills.

Supports access to the local community and amenities.

Establishes community networks and connections

Identifies potential training pathways

Provides opportunities for work experience

Enables real life experiences and real employment situations.

Entry into Rehabilitation Training:


Rehabilitation Training is a three year programme. Student’s attendance will be no more than 30 hours per week. There are no specific educational requirements for gaining entry.

Potential trainees should be interested in participating on a full time basis and be prepared to embark on a journey of learning and new experiences.
