Service User Representatives
Next Meeting Scheduled for Residential Services Rep is 19th Sept 2013 from 8 - 9pm. Contact Kevin or John for more details.
Each year in WALK there is an election held for service users to choose the people they would most like to represent them.
The Service User Representatives for WALK are:

To act as an advocate and to support the service users that elected to represent them.
To meet with the service users at least once monthly to write down or take photographs of any matters that the service users may bring to their attention. This can be done with the support of the independent advocate.
To meet with the relevant service manager (Day or Residential) every two months, or as required, to discuss the things brought forward from the service user group.
To bring forward matters already discussed with the relevant manager for the attention of the Chief Executive Officer if the manager and/or the service user representatives feel that the matter could not be solved otherwise.
To form an important part of the overall development of the organisation.
It is a voluntary role.
