To act as an advocate and to support the service users that elected to represent them.
To meet with the service users at least once monthly to write down or take photographs of any matters that the service users may bring to their attention. This can be done with the support of the independent advocate.

To bring forward matters already discussed with the relevant manager for the attention of the Chief Executive Officer if the manager and/or the service user representatives feel that the matter could not be solved otherwise.
To form an important part of the overall development of the organisation.
It is a voluntary role.
