Social Care Worker is responsible in supporting people’s to achieve the vision and goals in accordance to their will and preference as outlined in their personal plan. Social care worker will empower people supported to live self-determined lives in socially inclusive communities. To support families as appropriate and in accordance with the wishes of the person supported. To build social capital in the communities, and support people to enhance their socially valued roles and contribute to the community.

Social care worker will work in collaboration with the support team, leadership team, clinical team, and all other stakeholders to ensure people have a safe and effective service. Social care workers will support the team leader/coordinator to achieve and maintain HIQA regulatory compliance.

Financial Accountant

WALK is a section 39 community-based provider of supports for people with intellectual disability. Based in Dublin, Kildare and Louth, our main supports are in the areas of living accommodation, employment, career development, education, and training.

We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant position, to join our finance team.

Financial Accountant will have responsibility for producing annual budgets, preparing statutory and monthly accounts, managing cash flow, developing and driving compliance across the organisation with internal financial controls.

Eligibility criteria

  • Recognised Accountancy Qualification. ICAI, ACCA or equivalent.
  • Experience with SAGE or equivalent accounting software.
  • Knowledge of Charities SORP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products especially Word and Excel.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team or Project Management experience.
  • An understanding of WALK’s Vision, Values, Ethos and Mission and a positive vision for the future.
  • Previous experience of working in a not for profit or healthcare environment would be advantageous but not essential.

Psychology Project Worker (Supported Living Services Kildare)

As part of our growing development of supports for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, we are now seeking applications for the Psychology Project Worker position (Full time 169hrs) to work as part of our Supported Living services.

 The Psychology Project Worker (Supported Living Services) is responsible for supporting the implementation and monitoring of clinically guided therapeutic interventions. The Psychology Project worker support line management through completing clinical review of data, preparation of data and analysis for clinical review meetings, providing staff with guidance and knowledge as directed by the Assistant Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist. The psychology project worker is responsible for supporting line management with risk monitoring and review as well as providing visual supports to aid people’s understanding in an accessible way.
