UNCRPD, Article 27

Work and employment Parties recognize the right of persons with disabilities to work on an equal basis with others; this includes the right to the opportunity to gain a living by work freely chosen or accepted in a labour market and work environment that is open, inclusive and accessible to persons with disabilities. We assist individuals in career planning, gaining work experiences and finding and maintaining jobs that match their interests and abilities, fostering independence and a sense of accomplishment.

WALK Careers & Employment

WALK recognises that there is a very real gap in supports and services for people with disabilities to gain and sustain employment in Ireland, where we have the biggest Disability Employment Gap (DEG) in the EU.
