The UNCRPD (United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities) was adopted by the UN in 2006 and ratified by Ireland in March 2018. It is a global human rights treaty and framework to promote, protect and ensure the full and equal enjoyment of all human rights and freedoms by people with disabilities. Our work at WALK is underpinned by the UNCRPD.
